Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria – Apple cider, prosecco, amaretto, and ginger ale combine to make this delicious sangria. A perfect cocktail for the fall!

Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria Before we get start today, I just want to dedicate this post to my loving husband. It’s out first anniversary today! This past year with him has shown me exactly why I married him; his kindness, his compassion, and his patience. We’ve been through tons of changes (new house, new job, this blog) and he’s handled them with such grace. He is the sweetest man I know and I am the luckiest woman in the world to have him. Happy Anniversary to us!

Sharon And Her Husband On Their Wedding Day

Alright now for the celebratory booze!

Cold weather where are you?! It’s mid-October and I wanna start wearing my boots! And scarfs! And flannel! I guess I should embrace the warm weather while I can. Come January, I will be begging for its return. #Southernerproblems.

Since it’s still in the 70s here in Georgia, I feel odd making hot apple cider. But I want to enjoy the flavors of fall! So I decided to make a refreshing sangria instead. A sparkling apple cider sangria, to be exact.

Glass Of Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria Glass Of Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria With A Cinnamon StickPitcher Of Sparkling Apple Cider SangriaApples And Cinnamon Sticks

Woah, guys. This sangria was so refreshing and full of apple yumminess. And I love the color of the red and green apples. The amaretto and ginger ale pair perfectly with the cider to give it a well-balanced, crisp taste. I may or may not had 3 glasses in less than an hour. Whoops!

Did I mention it was the perfect accompaniment to a Saturday of college football? Sometimes you just need something else besides beer. As an avid beer-drinker, I can’t believe I just said that. But I was a sangria-drinker first (I’ve been known to drink a whole carafe of sangria on my own), so beer will just have to understand.

Glass Pitcher Filled With Apple Pieces Pitcher Filled With Champagne And Apple PiecesPitcher Of sparkling apple cider sangria Being MixedCups Of sparkling apple cider sangria

Sangria is so super easy to make. Just throw all the ingredients in a pitcher, stir, and serve! And this recipe is no exception. The only reason it could take 10 minutes to make is because you have to chop the apples. If you’re a fast chopper, it probably only takes 5 minutes.

Usually I give you guys tips and tricks for helping you recreate the recipe flawlessly. But this recipe is so easy that you won’t need any additional tips! So I’m just gonna give you some info on what you can do to change up this recipe, if you wanted to:

  1. I use ginger ale to make this sangria extra bubbly. Plus, ginger pairs perfectly with apples. But if you don’t like ginger ale, you can use Sprite instead. Or even club soda.
  2. The amaretto adds so much depth to this drink. But feel free to try another liquor that you like. Cognac, triple sec, heck, even bourbon, if you want a stronger sangria. Sangria is a fun drink to experiment with. No combo is off-limits.
  3. I used red delicious apples and granny smith apples in this sangria. But you can honestly use any apple that you like. I just prefer the colors of those two together. And you can also slice instead of dicing it, if you want.

Alrighty. Now you have everything you need to make this delicious, refreshing fall drink. What are you waiting for?! You should be making this right now! Unless you’re at work. Then maybe you wait until dinnertime.

I hope you love it as much as I do! Check out the full recipe below.

Here are all the kitchen tools and serveware that I used in this post. For each item that is sold, I receive a small commission. Thank you for supporting the brands that support CPA!

Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria

Apple cider, prosecco, amaretto, and ginger ale come together is this perfect cocktail for fall!
Prep Time10 minutes mins
Total Time2 hours hrs 10 minutes mins
Servings: 6 glasses

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750 mL) champagne or prosecco
  • 2 1/2 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup ginger ale
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liquor
  • 2 small apples diced
  • 6 cinnamon sticks (for serving)

Instructions

  • Core apples and dice them into even chunks. Place into pitcher.
  • Open champagne or prosecco and pour entire bottle into pitcher with apples. Add cider, ginger ale, and amaretto. Stir with a large wooden spoon. Let it sit in the fridge until chilled through, about 2 hours. But if you don't mind it at room temperature, go ahead and serve immediately. It tastes great either way!

Rosemary Cheese Straws – The Southern cheese str Rosemary Cheese Straws – The Southern cheese straw is flavored with fresh rosemary to give them a sophisticated feel.

I am a snacker, through and through. Before meeting my husband and living together, my meals were not planned out and mostly consisted of a lot of small snacks throughout the day.

Over time, I learned it’s very hard to coordinate meals and get togethers with others when I’m not super hungry so I learned to adapt. But in my core, I am still a snack lover!

Today’s recipe is my newest snack obsession – Rosemary Cheese Straws

Split Buns with Cream and Jam – soft, enriched y Split Buns with Cream and Jam – soft, enriched yeast buns split and filled with fresh whipped cream and raspberry jam, then dusted with powdered sugar!

Once again, The Great British Baking Show has led me to a new treat I'd never heard of but was completely entranced by! Devonshire split buns are a popular British treat made with soft baked buns filled with cream and jam, and honestly? I'm obsessed!

What I love about these buns is how they feel like eating a sweet sandwich – imagine a jam sandwich but in a long bun with whipped cream! Doesn't that make you drool?

The great news is they're super easy to make! With a simple enriched dough recipe and store-bought jam, you can have these buns ready in just a couple of hours! The dough took me some time to develop because I wanted them soft like hot dog buns (but obviously sweeter!), not dense and heavy!

Pro tip: DO NOT slice all the way through! Leave the bottom connected so the buns hold the filling well! Use piping bags with tips to fill neatly – it makes them look bakery-quality!

Perfect for breakfast, dessert, holiday gatherings, brunch, or anytime you want a soft, indulgent treat!

Fig & Goat Cheese Crostini – crispy baguette sli Fig & Goat Cheese Crostini – crispy baguette slices rubbed with fresh garlic, spread with rosemary honey goat cheese, and topped with fig preserves!

This particular crostini was born when I had leftover fig preserves to use up! And let me tell you – this combination is INCREDIBLE! Every single bite is perfectly balanced – crispy, tangy, sweet, spicy, and creamy all at once! My guests absolutely cannot stop at just one!

The magic is in the rosemary honey goat cheese spread – that's where all the flavor comes from! The fresh rosemary pairs SO beautifully with the sweet fig preserves!
Pro tip: Do NOT assemble these until you're ready to serve!

The bread will get soggy if you make them ahead! BUT you can toast the bread and make the goat cheese spread ahead of time for quick assembly!

Perfect for holiday parties, entertaining guests, or anytime you need an impressive appetizer that's seriously easy to make! 🎉

Apple Pie Cake – a unique hybrid of pie and cake Apple Pie Cake – a unique hybrid of pie and cake! A traditional pie crust layered with tender precooked apples and eggy cake batter that bakes up into the most incredible texture! 🥧

During the pandemic, many restaurants started releasing their famous recipes online! One of those restaurants was a Disney World location famous for their apple pie! When I saw this recipe going VIRAL everywhere, I was skeptical because I'd never even heard of it before! But because of the hype, I decided to give it a try!

And WOW – this pie is AMAZING! What makes it so unique is that instead of the traditional gooey apple pie filling, the apples are layered with an eggy batter that bakes up into a cakey texture! It's literally half pie, half cake!

My husband LOVED the cakey texture of the filling – it's completely different from a traditional apple pie!

Pro tip: You MUST let this pie cool completely before cutting or the slices will fall apart! I know it's tempting, but patience is key!

Turkey Cranberry Pinwheels – leftover turkey rol Turkey Cranberry Pinwheels – leftover turkey rolled in a wrap with cranberry rosemary cream cheese spread and dried cranberries, then sliced into adorable pinwheels! 🦃

Years ago, wraps got a bad rap because people thought they were healthier than sandwiches (spoiler: they're not!). But I LOVE a great wrap! I ate them all the time in high school! Then I turned my back on them like everyone else.

Recently, I found an AMAZING turkey and cranberry wrap at my local deli that completely changed my mind!

The combination of turkey and cranberry is KILLER! I always go for cranberry sauce over gravy with carved turkey, so you KNOW I'm obsessed with this flavor combo!

But here's the thing – I knew this wrap needed more! So I created a cranberry rosemary cream cheese spread to take it over the top! That spread is the SECRET WEAPON that makes these pinwheels absolutely incredible!

Pro tip: Make sure to spread the cream cheese evenly over the wrap so when you roll and slice, you get those perfect tight, even corkscrew pinwheels!

Perfect for holiday parties, tailgating, or anytime you need an easy, impressive appetizer!
